Real Estate 101

The Real Estate Association of Puget Sound is offering a FREE ORIENTATION tomorrow Saturday, September 11 for novice investors, new members  and guests designed to help the novice real estate investor make full use of the membership resources and benefits of REAPS in order to jump start their career as a real estate investor. Members of the public are welcome to attend. 

REAPS is the oldest – and largest - professional association for the real estate investor this side of the Mississippi.  As a not-for-profit association, REAPS aims to motivate and support REAPS members and guests through education, discussion, legislative action and networking.  REAPS hosts over 60 live events a year around Puget Sound and they are all open to the public. 

Attendees will receive a free booklet compiling articles on DOING YOUR FIRST DEAL which I wrote, that were originally published in the REAPS newsletter. These articles help the novice real estate investor start making offers on real estate deals.

All speakers are practicing real estate investors who will highlight the membership resources most important to new investors.

This FREE ORIENTATION will be held from 10:00am - 3 pm, Saturday, September 11 at the Mercer Island Community Center. Because space is limited for this event, please RSVP in advance at the REAPS website www.reapsweb.com.

Building a list

In order to succeed in real estate investing, it is important to build lists. These may include lists of potential cash buyers if one is wholesaling property, a list of private lenders or equity partners for joint ventures.

Quick Tip:
Here's how you can build your network community:

Acquire an email-marketing program (good: AWeber, better: Infusionsoft).

Get a program to create an opt-in page (good: LeadPages.com, better:Kajabi).

Create a value-added deliverable such as a free report, an ebook, an audio or a video training so that people will happily provide their email address in exchange for the value you provide.

Voila! Collect the names and contact information from people who are interested in what you have to offer. And start building your list!
