Jobs, Jobs, Jobs

Seattle is driving income and job gains statewide, said Washington's chief economist Steve Lerch, who said the Seattle area has gained back all of the jobs it lost in the recession, and 30,000 more.

Here is a photo from today's Rainier Chamber of Commerce President's Lunch, where Seattle Mayor Ed Murray spoke about the challenges of creating an "equitable" city, and several Rainier Valley residents and businesses were honored for their vision and commitment to improving life in Rainier Valley. Four promising high school students were also awarded scholarships by the Rainier Chamber Foundation, as leaders of the future.

The future of the "equitable" city depends on education, on public safety, and on jobs.

Van Gogh Development Corporation is proud to be contributing to this ideal through our development of mixed use commercial space that includes market rate and affordable housing for artists and other creative entrepreneurs at Rainier Beach.

Invest in jobs. Invest in growth. Invest in the community.

Happy investing!
